We’re Only Human, the new album from Grammy-nominated artist Hayes Carll, is out now. The new collection is the most introspective and reflective work Carll has created in his celebrated career.
The cheerful video for his new track ‘Good People (Thank Me)’ has just been released. The clip features Carll performing at multiple intimate venues as a duo with his fervent audiences, and even some staffers, more than happy to join him in an engaging and enthusiastic call and response. “We all need a heartfelt ‘thank you’ for our efforts now and then,” says Carll. “‘Thank Me’ is a chance to both receive one and give one—a small but meaningful way to lift each other up.”
Carll will perform three songs from We’re Only Human during his debut appearance on CBS Saturday Morning on August 23rd. The artist will return to the Grand Ole Opry for the second time following the album release on Saturday, August 9th.
Throughout his critically acclaimed, award-winning career, Hayes Carll’s songs have allowed us to look at ourselves through his character narratives and clever perspectives. On We’re Only Human, he turns the mirror back on himself for an extraordinarily thoughtful and personal set of songs that brim with his signature blend of pensive lyrics, grit and, of course, just the right touch of sardonic wit.
We’re Only Human is the long-awaited follow up to 2021’s critically acclaimed You Get It All. The album garnered high praise from the media, including Rolling Stone, The Associated Press, American Songwriter, No Depression, Holler, Glide Magazine and many more..
