“2020 has been a year unlike anything we’ve experienced in our lifetimes. “2020” references both the status quo of the socio-political climate, and also our 20/20 vision. Despite the progress made, it feels like we’re regressing as a society. While this song was actually written and recorded before the COVID pandemic, its meaning and relevance definitely intensified as the year progressed.”
Jesse Stopnitzky (bass)

Kara Frazier is releasing her third single “Words” featured on her upcoming EP Deja Vu Sessions. “Words” is full of high energy, retro jazz sounds and 80’s inspired vibes.
Kara wrote this song to expose and empower the words people tell themselves both inward and outward. Writing this song with a vision of being alone in the open wilderness completely vulnerable and exposed, the only thing she has control over are the words she speaks. Choosing to stop telling herself things that are untrue or other people’s ideas herself Kara let’s go. The lies that people tell themselves have a deep impact on how people perceive themselves. So often words are controlled and measured. This song is about letting them out.
“Words” about struggle and release. Kara has struggled with many things in her life and this song is about finally speaking to and about them. Letting your thoughts and feelings be known and not just hiding them away. “Like most people, I’ve always struggled with inner demons. Anxiety, insecurities, abandonment, self-doubt – you name it – I’ve lived it. This song was written from a place of wanting peace and freedom from the lies I believed about myself and those that others planted in my head from a young age.” Kara reveals about her insecurities and doubt to power this song with authenticity and boldness.
With a funky jazzlike sound that is both retro and energetic vibe that is enhanced by the fact that it was recorded live in studio, you can feel the emotion and power of “Words”. This song relates to the common struggles people share with fun and upbeat music to get people to think and examine. Find the freedom of speaking out and up on January 1st, 2021 with the release of “Words”. Followed by the full EP “Deja Vu Sessions” on January 29th, 2021
“Big, Big Plans” was written by Lane, Jacob Durrett and Ernest Keith Smith and marks Lane’s first #1 as a songwriter. Penned ahead of his engagement to now-wife, Lauren, the song was first heard in their heart-warming proposal video. Once released, “Big, Big Plans” inspired more than 20 on-stage fan proposals during Lane’s BIG, BIG PLANS TOUR, and countless others shared online.
“As an artist the most rewarding thing for me is writing a song and hearing fans sing it back, and make it part of their own story as well. It’s been so much fun to see the way such a personal song for me has impacted other people over time. From proposing to my wife, to seeing others’ proposals at shows and on social media, to it now hitting #1 on Country radio is unbelievable. I couldn’t be more excited.”
Chris Lane
The GOLD-certified smash has tallied 149 MILLION on-demand streams. Also striking a chord with critics, Billboard praised “Lane maximizes the sentimentality by being straightforward with his intention,” while American Songwriter lauds “Big, Big Plans” as “his most intimate song yet.”
Pre-orders for physical product and pre-saves for streaming services are available now, including limited edition colour vinyl from the Frontiers EU and U.S. web-stores and from the band’s own web-store.

The band captured what they do best, playing live while feeding off of one another’s energy. ‘Holy Mother’ is sonically built upon a Godzilla-sized riff which provides the perfect launchpad for Kimi Shelter’s signature raven-winged vocals.
"We wanted an opportunity to connect with the people, so we set up some microphones and blasted through a raw performance of 'Holy Mother'. Our wish is for you to take Starbenders home for the holidays. The band sends all our love to you as we glow into the fifth dimension."
Kimi Shelter
There really isn’t anyone else out there doing what Starbenders have been since forming in 2014: The intoxicating combination of ’70s glitter and ’80s glam with new wave and new romantic, seduced into this new decade by four thrilling musicians and, in frontwoman Kimi Shelter, one of the most exciting songwriters in contemporary rock & roll.
The band is completed by bassist Aaron Lecesne, guitarist Kriss Tokaji and drummer Emily Moon. The band’s latest album, “Love Potions”, sees Starbenders moving in a more adventurous and slightly experimental direction.
The group has taken influence from mid-western emo, math-rock and alternative indie and combined those with Fleetwood Mac style dual-vocal pop melodies and twinkling glockenspiel to create their trademark “Glock-Rock” sound.
Earning their stripes in pubs and clubs of the Watford music scene, Lakes have been emboldened with a DIY attitude that was born from frustration of life on the peripheries of a capital city. The group’s fiercely independent attitude has led them to record all their own music, produce their own music videos and with families of their own – organise child-friendly matinee gigs in their hometown.
After self-releasing their first two EPs, Lakes joined The LP Cafe in the UK and Friend of Mine Records in Japan to release their debut full length album in August 2019 entitled “The Constance LP”. This led Washed Up Emo to label them “your new favourite band” and Punktastic to include them on their list of the most important bands of the next decade stating “it’s hard to look past their potential as future frontrunners of the UK emo scene. With nods to midwestern emo giants in American Football and Braid, Lakes create a truly unique take on the genre interlacing shimmering glockenspiels, beautiful harmonies and pop sensibilities in everything they do.”
The album was recorded entirely by drummer Matt Shaw in a spare room using a couple of mics and a PC over the space of a year. With no timing or financial restraints that would come from a proper studio, the band took their time crafting the songs and discovering their sound. This has resulted in a truly unique album, one that is completely holistic in its presentation with band members also taking control of photography, graphic design, web design and accompanying music videos.
Lakes’ ‘This World Of Ours, It Came Apart,’ was released in July 2020 via Know Hope Records in North America and The LP Cafe in the UK.
His strange and extreme works confront the viewer and challenge them to come with him on a journey into their own minds as he explores the deeper recesses of his own.
