There’s just no way that Devon Kay & the Solutions are going to sit idly by. It’s not in their DNA. Even amidst a global pandemic, the band has managed to release an EP, a full length record, a charity single featuring Chris DeMakes of Less Than Jake, and a slew of D.I.Y. music videos.
While it’s certainly been a difficult year to navigate, Devon Kay & the Solutions leaned into their creativity and adapted.
Following their signing to A-F Records in 2020, the band released Limited Joy in August. Without the promise of live performances anytime soon, the band is taking their next effort (finished around the release of Limited Joy) and chopping it up into a series of bite sized singles. The first of the batch is titled “A Little Bit.”
Devon Kay & the Solutions 'A Little Bit'
Release Date - 11 December 2020
“'A Little Bit' is my dumb punk love letter to bands like The Counting Crows & Motion City Soundtrack. It’s a feel good love song about love not feeling good and the many steps it takes obtaining a solid relationship. It’s also an insane ear-worm. . . so there’s that.”

“A Little Bit” is a step in a much larger direction for The Solutions. With the addition of Jacob Horn (Trombone), Jake Levinson (Bass), Ryan Scottie (Drums), Ian Terry (Trumpet), & Joram Zbichorski (Keyboards) the band can now dip into a whole new world of sounds. Pulling inspiration from a love of pop punk and ska to new wave influence to big band horn lines, The Solutions are pulling their favorite bits of every genre and trying to create something fresh yet familiar.
Expect more content from the band in 2021 as their intention of grabbing your attention is unstoppable.
