Ohhhhh my goodnessā¦.would you look at this? After a five year hiatus, the Electronic Saviors series returns with a brand new volume.
And when we say brand new, we mean it. All 98 tracks presented here are new creations for this compilation. Metropolis Records and Distortion Productions team up once again to bring an absolute historical and gargantuan piece of music in the name of cancer research!
The artists have really outdone themselves with some truly epic work. Included are new tracks by 16Volt, Acumen Nation, Die Sektor, blackcarburning, Metamorph Feat Stabbing Westward, Negative Format, Out Out, Lead Into Gold, Interface, Xenturion Prime, Ego Likeness, Marc Heal, Red Lokust, Amulet, genCAB, NOIR, Panic Lift, I:Scintilla. Sapphira Vee, Inertia, Hexedene and many, many more. Proceeds will be donated to Young Adult Survivors United out of Wexford, PA and The University of Pittsburgh’s Colorectal Cancer Research Department. We are so happy to be back, now letās rage against the disease!
Cancer survivor and organiser of Electronic Saviors Jim Semonik reflects on the experience:Ā “It’s not something I’d ever thought would happen again. I’m lucky. Not only in the sense that I get to be here after surviving for 17 years post-cancer, but that I get to work with my heroes and share the fruits of their labor with the world. It’s really quite something and the fact that we are working with Young Adult Survivors United is an absolute thrill for me. With 7 ES volumes, 3 spinoffs, 2 sponsored comps, 117k donated and over 500 bands and artists involved worldwide, I can only see this growing further! We’re back!”
CD boxsets are available in a four disc Regular Edition and six disc (plus 7ā) Premium Edition with additional merchanise. The Regular Edition is only available viaĀ distortionprod.comĀ and at these festivals: Dark Force Fest, Mechanismus and Coldwaves Festivals. The digital format is available via BandcampĀ HERE.
The first volume of āElectronic Saviors: Industrial Music To Cure Cancerā was released in 2010 following Semonikās own personal battle with the disease. The series continued with Volumes 2 through 6, featuring dozens of exclusive tracks by prominent artists from across the industrial, EBM, synth pop and electronic scenes.
