The Wedding Present celebrate the 35th anniversary of Bizarro, the band’s second studio LP, by performing it in full along with fan favourites and the greatest hits.
Released on the 23rd October 1989, Bizarro featured 2 x Top 40 singles – Kennedy & Brassneck – and was the band’s first LP on a major label RCA Records.
Since their early releases The Wedding Present have acquired a reputation for bitterweet, breathtakingly honest love songs immersed in whirlwind guitars. BBC Radio 1’s John Peel was quoted as saying that “David Gedge has written some of the best love songs of the Rock ‘n’ Roll era”.
