NYC psychosleaze provocateurs – Puzzled Panther – have announced the vinyl release of their second EP, ‘Fits of Serenity’, as well as a support tour with Gogol Bordello in the UK and EU this Autumn.
Earlier this year, Puzzled Panther shared their sophomore EP ‘Fits of Serenity’, via Eugene Hütz’s Casa Gogol Records (Rolling Stone). Now, the band have announced their plans to press the EP onto wax, with a vinyl release arriving on 24th October, the beginning of a major support tour with Gogol Bordello.
Puzzled Panther is where psychedelic Manchester meets underground New York, with the band intertwining the shared history and connection of these scenes into a unique fusion on their new EP. Tapping into the grooves of the 90s ‘Madchester’ era and energising them with avant-garde alt-rock riffs a la Sonic Youth, the ‘Fits of Serenity’ delivers a distinct and unique “Psychosleaze” sound that is both familiar yet futuristic.
Catching the ear of Nick Launay (IDLES / YYYs / Nick Cave), the legendary producer lent his talents to the first on their first EP “Smoke and Mirrors We Broke”, whilst Adam Greenspan (IDLES / YYYs / Amyl & The Sniffers) also got his hands on mixing the heady “Give Em Nuff Velvet Rope” on their brand new EP. Both have played a vital role in developing Puzzled Panther’s distinctively unique “Psychosleaze” sonic imprint.
In support of their new ‘Fits of Serenity’ EP, Puzzled Panther will be back out on the road for a run of UK Shows this Autumn in support of Gogol Bordello..
Following a series of Californian shows together, their UK leg will kick off with a sold out show in Brighton on 24th October, and includes stops at iconic venues such as the Albert Hall in Manchester and two nights at the Electric Ballroom in London.
