Acclaimed, Juno Award-winning artist Bahamas (a.k.a. Afie Jurvanen), has announced a US East Coast tour in support of his new release, My Second Last Album.
The run will kick off on May 1st in Cleveland, OH, followed by cities including Pittsburgh, Columbus, St. Louis, Nashville, Atlanta. Washington, DC, Philadelphia, New York City and Boston. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 5th. See full list of dates below or visit BahamasMusic.net.
Released in September on Brushfire Records, My Second Last Album is a warm, thoughtful and personal set of songs that capture Jurvanen’s genre-blending style that fans worldwide have come to love. Listen to the joyful singles “Feels So Good” (HERE) and “The Bridge” (HERE). Watch the new video for the track “Ready For A New Thing,” featuring a visual journey through the grit and grace of triathlon HERE.
My Second Last Album received a 4-star review in MOJO, while MXDWN said of the album, “…it’s a gentle recommitment to what matters most. Bahamas has crafted a record that feels both lived-in and alive, defined by groove, gratitude and quiet mastery.”
After recording 2023’s highly acclaimed release Bootcut in Nashville, Jurvanen chose to simplify the process and remain home in Nova Scotia, where he casually recorded with no agenda. He teamed up with co-producer and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Van Tassel at his intimate DreamDate Studio, where the two played every instrument and allowed themselves the freedom to follow Jurvanen’s songs wherever they lead.
